Job Summary: The Senior-Tier Network Support Personnel will be responsible for operations & maintenance (O&M) troubleshooting network engineering documentation support and lifecycle management of a DHS enterprise network.
Education and Experience:
- Top Security/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance as a US citizen.
- Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph preferred.
- Minimum Certified Cisco Network Associate (CCNA).
- Minimum Security certification required.
- Must maintain a professional certification in accordance with the Department of Defense 8570.01-M Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program.
- Must satisfy and sustain DoD IA training and certification requirements (see DoD 8570.01-M Chapters 3 4 6 and 11).
Essential Duties:
The candidate will be responsible for:
- Provide Senior Tier engineer support for new approved enterprise locations or modernization efforts to existing locations.
- Provide expertise to include engineering planning drawings and cost estimations to new network expansions
- Travel to enterprise location in support of engineering efforts to perform hardware refreshes and hardware installation maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Provide documentation updates or support related to network compliance for Authority to Operate (ATO) Security Technical Implementation Guidance (STIG) or other Information Assurance (IA) policy instruction for network connectivity.
- Update or create required documentation for compliance or operational necessity of network elements per applicable SOP.
- Perform applicable patch management related to compliance instructions communicate status to the COR and recommend changes required to maintain compliance.
Knowledge Skill and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Solarwinds Monitoring Software and System Logs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with service providers external customers and site representatives.
- Ability to travel to enterprise locations for engineering efforts and customer support efforts as approved by the COR.
Security and Citizenship Requirements:
- Must be citizens of the United States and meet the security background criteria.
- Must have a favorably adjudicated background investigation.
- Will be held responsible for applying for obtaining and maintaining a valid Common Access Card (CAC) as a condition of continued employment under the contract.
