Job Summary

The DevOps / QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring reliable representative and performant environments to support CI/CD pipelines for all product components. You will be responsible for maintaining CI/CD pipelines and ensuring sufficient quality of test coverage. You will help maintain on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure. You will work with Software Engineers to ensure meaningful test automation accompanies all new developments. This role requires a strong technical background in DevOps practices QA Ops practices cloud technologies automation tools combined with the desire to continuously enhance overall solution quality.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Maintain infrastructure ensuring high availability performance and security
  • Maintain and improve deployment pipelines to ensure timely and reliable deployments
  • Ensure infrastructure and processes follow industry best practice security standards
  • Contribute to team responsibility for release management deployment and monitoring the health of production environments
  • Lead the ongoing optimization of automated test infrastructure coverage and responsiveness
  • Contribute to various testing efforts as needed
  • Contribute to the visibility and continuous improvement of the product delivery pipeline
  • Support the development lifecycle of platform design deployment testing and debugging

Competencies/Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in DevOps or a related field
  • 2 years of experience in Test Automation role
  • Experience building and enhancing CI/CD pipelines utilizing infrastructure as code and cloud-base infrastructure
  • Strong programming and scripting skills especially PowerShell and C#
  • Proficiency using version control systems (Azure DevOps Git or similar)
  • Proficiency using build orchestration systems (TeamCity or similar)
  • Proficiency using deployment coordination (Octopus or similar)
  • Proficiency using static analysis tools (SonarQube or similar)
  • Proficiency using test automation and API testing tools.
  • Solid understanding of networking and security concepts and best practices
  • 2 years of experience with Microsoft Azure
  • Familiarity with containerization and container orchestration
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication collaboration and organizational skills

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
  • Federal contracts require that this employee is a US citizen

Onsite Remote or Hybrid Job Performance

This position is a hybrid work role which requires 1-2 days a week in the office and additionally be available to come into the office on an ad-hoc basis as needed. Hybrid work is based on business needs role requirements and manager approval.
