Device Integration Intern
Job Description
This position is for a Device Integration Engineering intern supporting GaN and GaAs MMIC technologies in MACOMs Lowell MA fab. This internship offers hands-on experience in solving engineering problems at the intersection of materials science device physics and manufacturing. Intern will learn fundamentals of RF HEMT technologies gain exposure to working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and contribute to meaningful projects.
Responsibilities
Design and implement manufacturing routes for GaN and GaAs MMIC technologies
Design and execute on experiments targeting performance or yield improvements
Collect and analyze in-line data to gain insight on process splits or yield excursions
Create and deliver presentations on proposals and experimental results
Collaborate across functional areas such as Operations Process Engineering Quality and Product Engineering
Qualifications
Entering senior year of BS or enrolled in graduate studies (MS or Ph.D.) in Mat. Sc. E.E. Chem. E. or related discipline
Coursework or experience in semiconductor fabrication device physics and materials characterization
Familiar with data analysis techniques and statistics software packages like JMP or Minitab
Strong written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills
Self-directed driven organized and strong time management skills
During the 12 weeks each Intern will:
Be given an individual and well-defined project with set outcome goals
Gain hands on experience
Receive excellent training and ongoing supervision
Be invited to attend an intern webinar series
Attend networking/social events
Attend and present at Poster Session about each Interns project successes and pitfalls
Receive formal written feedback
The Hourly Range for this position is $20 $47 per hour. Actual salary offered to candidate will depend on several factors including but not limited to work location relevant candidates experience education and specific knowledge skills and abilities.
