CONTACT INFORMATION:Human Resources or SUMMARY/SCOPE: Implementsthe daily operations of various university fundraising programs and with the planning of various university advancement activities. Assiststhe Vice President for Engagement and Advancement in shaping universityadvancement policies management short-range and long-range planning. HSU JOB FAMILY CLASSIFICATION INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Qualify cultivate and solicitalumni and friends of the University for current and deferred gifts throughannual and monthly action plans of Moves Management steps. Develop and maintain an ongoingportfolio of 175 key donors for the purpose of soliciting unrestrictedcurrent planned and major gifts. Provide appropriate staffing atadvancement and alumni events. Maintain constituent reportsfor every donor contact. Set and achieve agreed uponperformance goals. Strategically plan andimplement objectives with key contacts. Manage individual suppliesoperations and travel budgets. Foster teamwork with fellowteam members. Attend life events for donorsand their family members. Perform miscellaneous job-relatedduties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: There are nosupervisor responsibilities required for this position. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questionsfrom groups of managers clients customers and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to addsubtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numberscommon fractions and decimals. REASONINGABILITY: Abilityto solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables insituations where only limited standardization exists. COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this jobsuccessfully an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software;Spreadsheet software; Project Management software; Order processing systems;Internet software; Development software and Contact Management systems.t) EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelors degree Degree preferred. 2-5 years previousrelated work experience is preferred. Must understandgenerational differences and be able to effectively utilize the appropriatemedium to reach different audiences. Must be strong incomputer and customer service skills. Must know and useproper telephone etiquette. Strong organizationalskills required. Must be able tomaintain confidentiality concerning financial records and other personalinformation. Must be proficient withcomputers comfortable talking on the phone and in meetings sitting for longperiods of time and have ability to drive for extensive work-related travel. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is a Full-Time Exempt Level Staffposition. Aminimum of a 40-hour work week is expected. Irregular hours and evening andweekend work and/or assignments beyond a 40-hour week is required during peakseason and/or to meet project deadlines is required. Frequent travel is required including evenings and weekendsespecially as part of travel. Occasionally holiday work is also required. Additional travel may be required on occasion toattend training workshops on occasion. Must have andmaintain a valid Class C Drivers License and maintain a clear driving recordto be insurable under the university liability policy. Must be able to drive tocomplete work assignments on and off campus as needed.
