Job Summary
Position Summary
The Development Grants Coordinatoris responsible formanaging the organizations private grants from philanthropic foundations and corporations. This officer will oversee all private grants for the Development team including managing the annual grants calendar researching grant prospectswritingandsubmittingproposals preparing supportive documentation testimonials and reports and overseeing philanthropy strategies to support the Montrose Centers mission. This role works closely with program staff and finance team to ensureaccuratebudgetstimelysubmissionsand strong donor engagement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Research writeprepareandsubmitall exploratory foundation and corporate grants for the Center.
- Manage the Development grants calendar fortimelysubmissions and reporting.
- Identifycorporate and foundation grant prospects under the strategy of the Chief Development Officer.
- Collaborate with program staff for accuracy on program descriptions reporting key performancemetricsandgrantdeadlines.
- Prepare grant budgets with approval from leadership and finance to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
- Represent the Montrose Center as support staff for fundraising or stewardship events and community networking events as needed.
- Perform other duties as required -
to support the effective operation of the department and organization.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degreein English Journalism Marketing Communications Business Public Administration PublicHealthor relevant field.
- Three years of professional experience in fundraising grants or technical writing preferred.
- Access to reliable transportationa currentTexas Drivers License and auto insurance.
- Salesforce or donor database CRM experience preferred.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills are mandatory. Anability to work under short deadlines and multi-task is essential.
