ABOUT THE ROLE
The Donor Engagement Coordinator is an essential part of the First Book team providing critical support for the Vice President of Development Director of Development and the entire Development department which raises funds from and with individuals foundations and community volunteers in support of the organizations goals and mission.
The position demands the highest attention to detail the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced multi-function environment a desire to work efficiently and improve systems and processes and a passion for internal and external customer service.
WHAT YOULL OWN
- In collaboration with the Director of Development execute strategies to solicit cultivate and steward one-time and recurring donors through mail email SMS and digital channels.
- Serve as primary contact with external vendors; oversee copy creative and internal approvals; and monitor campaign performance.
- Administer donor data in Salesforce. Oversee accurate gift entry and donation processing (manual and automated) donor record maintenance campaign creation and all other Development-related data and processes.
- Serve as product manager for Fundraise Up and other Development-related fundraising technology platforms.
- Manage gift certificate process for all Development-related donations.
- With support from the Development Operations Coordinator create and maintain campaigns in Salesforce Classy and Fundraise Up.
- Create customize and manage all Salesforce donor lists fundraising and revenue reports and dashboards. Support budget development and forecasting.
- Work proactively with the Finance department to ensure accuracy in donation records including assistance with reconciliations.
- Assist with donor relations donor communications and campaigns.
- Proactively contribute to problem-solving team brainstorms and strategic and operational planning exercises.
- Represent Development team at internal interdepartmental planning data management and IT meetings.
- Oversee the development of standard protocols and systems management.
- Various administrative duties and other tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION
- Associates degree required or equivalent professional experience.
- Bachelors degree preferred.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of two years of fundraising or nonprofit experience strongly preferred.
- Customer service experience is a plus.
- Experience with Salesforce is required.
- Salesforce Administrator Certification or equivalent hands-on experience is preferred.
- Experience with Fundraise Up GoFundMe Pro or a comparable peer-to-peer fundraising platform is highly desirable.
- Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or a comparable email marketing and list management platform is strongly preferred.
- Experience using is preferred.
- Familiarity with Confluence and Jira for knowledge management and case management is a strong plus.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel Word and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to collaborate in building and strengthening a comprehensive development program.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Salary Range: $45000 annually (non-negotiable).
