Wellspring is seeking a full-time Development & Communications Coordinator to be an integral member of the Development Departments work advancing Wellsprings mission via soliciting and securing monetary and material gifts promoting Wellspring throughout the community and increasing awareness of mental illness recovery and housing support. The scope of work includes donor stewardship event management external and internal communications PR/marketing volunteer coordination and general development-oriented administrative activities.

Development & Communications Coordinator Responsibilities:

This positionsupports Wellsprings fundraising communications marketing donor relations and community engagement efforts. Working closely with the Development & Communications Director this position helps strengthen Wellsprings visibility in the community cultivate donor and funder relationships and generate financial and community support for the agencys mission.


Key responsibilities include:
  • Developing social media content that supports Wellsprings mission programs fundraising initiatives events recruitment efforts and community partnerships while ensuring a consistent brand voice and professional image.
  • Developing and coordinating print email website and other media communications;
  • Creating newsletters fundraising appeals promotional materials and other branded content;
  • Supporting donor stewardship and fundraising activities;
  • Supporting public relations and community outreach efforts;
  • Helping grow Wellsprings audiences and community partnerships; and
  • Coordinates volunteer engagement efforts and assignments and helps ensure volunteers have the information and resources needed to contribute effectively.
Experience Requirements:
  • Experience managing organizational social media platforms and developing original content is required. Experience should include creating writing designing scheduling and publishing content for platforms such as Facebook Instagram LinkedIn and other relevant channels.
  • Experience in communications marketing and/or non-profit fundraising is required.
  • Experience with graphic design and special event planning is preferred.
  • A bachelors degree in communications (e.g. public relations electronic and digital media or mass communications) is highlypreferred.
Conditions of Employment:
  • This position requires clearances of state and federal background checks multiple abuse/sex offender registries and clearance of exclusion lists prior to employment.
Salary/Other Benefits:
  • $45000 -$55000
