SUMMARY/SCOPE:

Implements thedaily operations of various university fundraising programs and activities.

HSU JOB FAMILY CLASSIFICATION INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage a portfolio of prospects and donors throughqualification cultivation solicitation stewardship and renewal strategiesdesigned to increase philanthropic support for Hardin-Simmons University.

Executemeaningful stewardship activities to ensure donors understand the impact oftheir gifts and remain engaged with the university.

Preparedonor proposals impact reports thank-you communications and other donorengagement materials as needed.

Workwith campus partners (i.e. academics athletics and student clubs andorganizations) to identify funding priorities and develop fundraisingstrategies that increase philanthropic support for their areas.

Assistcampus partners in planning and executing fundraising campaigns annual givinginitiatives donor engagement events and special projects.

Provideappropriate staffing at advancement and alumni events.

Accuratelydocument donor interactions proposals solicitations stewardship activitiesand relationship strategies within the universitys constituent relationshipmanagement system in a timely manner.

Meetestablished fundraising goals and key performance indicators including donorvisits qualification activities solicitations stewardship efforts andphilanthropic revenue targets.

Strategicallyplan and implement objectives with key contacts.

Collaboratewith university leadership faculty coaches alumni volunteers andadvancement colleagues to identify and advance fundraising opportunities.

Manageindividual supplies operations and travel budgets.

Mustmaintain a valid drivers license and be insurable under university guidelines.

Foster teamwork with fellow teammembers.

Attend life events for donors andtheir family members.

Perform miscellaneous job-relatedduties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES (Language Mathematical Reasoning and Computer Skills):

LANGUAGESKILLS:Ability to read analyzeand interpret general business periodicals professional journals technicalprocedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports businesscorrespondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present informationand respond to questions from groups of managers clients customers and the generalpublic.

MATHEMATICALSKILLS: Ability to addsubtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numberscommon fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratio and percent andto draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONINGABILITY:Ability to solve practicalproblems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where onlylimited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructionsfurnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.

COMPUTERSKILLS:To perform this jobsuccessfully an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software;Spreadsheet software; Project Management software; Order processing systems;Internet software; Development software and Contact Management systems.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelorsdegree required.

2-5years of previous related work experience is preferred

Mustunderstand generational differences and be able to effectively utilize theappropriate medium to reach different audiences.

Strong organizational skills required. Must know and useproper telephone etiquette.

Must havestrong computer relationship management and customer service skills.

Must be proficient with computers comfortable talking on thephone and in meetings sitting for long periods of time and have ability todrive for extensive work-related travel.

Relevant experiencein fundraising sales relationship management customer service highereducation or related fields may be considered in lieu of degree requirementswhere appropriate.

Must be able to maintain confidentiality concerning financialrecords and other personal information.

The above requirements will be validated through the writtencompetencies provided by the applicant in addition to the interview process andreference checks regarding past employment experience etc.

TRAVEL/TIME REQUIREMENTS: This positionrequires frequent travel. Evening and weekend work required especially as partof travel. Occasional holiday work required.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

This position is a Full-TimeNon-Exempt/Hourly Staff Position.

A minimum of a 40-hour work week is expected. Irregular hoursand evening and weekend work and/or assignments beyond a 40-hour week isrequired during peak season and/or to meet project deadlines is required.

All hours worked beyond 40 hours in a single work week willbe compensated at time and a half per FLSA guidelines.

Frequent travel is requiredincluding evenings and weekends especially as part of travel.

Occasionallyholiday work is also required.

Additional travel may be required onoccasion to attend training workshops on occasion.

Must have andmaintain a valid Class C Drivers License and maintain a clear driving recordto be insurable under the university liability policy.

Must be able to drive to complete work assignments on and offcampus as needed.
