Job Summary
EIS Groups is seeking a solution-focused and customer-oriented Desktop Support Technician to join our Information Technology team in an onsite capacity. This position is ideal for an IT professional who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting working directly with employees and ensuring technology operates efficiently across the organization.
As a Desktop Support Technician at EIS Groups you will serve as an important point of contact for employees experiencing technical issues. You will diagnose and resolve hardware software networking and connectivity problems while helping maintain a reliable and secure IT environment.
You will work closely with employees and internal IT teams to provide timely professional and effective technical support. The successful candidate will combine strong technical knowledge with excellent communication and customer-service skills.
- Provide hands-on onsite technical support to EIS Groups employees.
- Receive document prioritize and resolve hardware and software support requests.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot desktop laptop printer network and connectivity issues.
- Configure and deploy new computers routers modems peripherals and other IT equipment.
- Install configure update and maintain operating systems and business applications.
- Perform routine inspections maintenance upgrades and repairs of IT equipment and installations.
- Provide onsite and remote technical assistance when required.
- Assist employees with software hardware account-access and connectivity issues.
The ideal candidate will have:
- An Associates degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field.
- A Bachelors degree in a related discipline is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience as a Desktop Support Technician IT Support Specialist Help Desk Technician or similar IT position.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware operating systems networking and technical troubleshooting.
- Experience installing configuring upgrading and maintaining computers and related equipment.
- Familiarity with TeamViewer or comparable remote-support platforms.
- Ability to provide effective onsite and remote technical support.
- Strong diagnostic troubleshooting installation and problem-solving.
