Desktop Support Technician

Reporting to the IT Manager theDesktop Support Technicianis responsible formaintainingessential IThardware and business applicationsincluding buildingimplementingandtroubleshooting technicalsolutions in line with the overallAPDermIT strategy.The position willcollaborate withIT teammatesand theHelp Desk to providetechnicalsupportacross allAPDermsiteswhile ensuringresource efficiencyoptimizationand security of the technology ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

• Provide both on site andmain office/HQdesktop support including device provisioning/support network equipment (firewalls switches access points)installation/supportandtechnical assistance with devices associated with ISP security data closets postagepathology technologyand other business functions as identified by IT management.

• Responsible forday to dayassistancewith hardware and technical issueswithin theAPDermIT environment includingtroubleshooting and issue remediation knowledge ofrelevantworkflowsbuildtrainingtestingandend useraccessprovisioning/facilitation.

• Role mayrequiredaily travel between sites for hardware deployment andissueremediation.

• Assistin development and implementation ofnew technologyresources to improve business process and technical flow and efficiency.

• Responsible for clear oral and written communication oftaskand ticketstatusesissues process changes software enhancementgoalsandobjectives.

MinimumRequirements:

• Two years of professional technical support experienceor 4-year college degree in a technical or business field

• Preferred technicalcertifications:CompTIA A/Security/Fundamentals CCNA Microsoft Fundamentals or related.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 40 lbs (e.g. desktop computers monitors printers)

• Ability to push or pull carts loaded with equipment

• Occasionalbending kneeling crouching and reaching to access under-desk equipment and cabling

• Ability to work in tight or confined spaces (e.g. server closets under desks behind cabinets)

• Manual dexterity for handling small components cables and tools

• Ability to climb stairs and/or ladders as needed

• Prolonged periods of standing walking or sitting depending on task

• Visual acuity for reading small print on labels screens and technical documentation

• Ability to safely handle and transport equipment across office floors or between buildings

• Occasional travel between worksites or office locations

• Ability to work with hand and power tools for equipment installation and repair

The salary for this role will range from USD $53225.12 to 72226.49 per year based on full-time employment. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to years of experience location relevant skills training education etc. Certain roles may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and/or long-term incentives.
