Founded in 2006 Pirkey Barber is one of the largest firms in the United States focused on trademark trade dress copyright and unfair competition law. We are frequently recognized as one of the leading trademark firms in the country. We are seeking a proactive DesktopSupport Specialist I to strengthen our firms technology operations. This role combines hands-on troubleshooting internal system expertise user training and coordination with third-party providers. The ideal candidate will understand our internal processes and ensure consistent high-quality support across the firm. This hybrid position is located at our Austin office and will be required to work in the office three days per week and on an as needed basis.
- Provide Tier 1 support desktop and application support for attorneys and staff.
- Troubleshoot firm-specific legal systems applications automations and coordinate complex cases with external vendors.
- Maintain documentation and track recurring technical issues solutions and best practices for process improvement.
- Manage hardware setup imaging updates and workstation configurations.
- Develop and deliver user training guides and reference materials for attorneys and staff.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users create user guides tip sheets and short videos for firm applications.
- Support onboarding and train new hires on firm systems.
- Recommend improvements to workflows onboarding and support processes.
- Ensure compliance with firm security and data-protection policies.
- Build strong working relationships through responsive high-quality support.
- Perform other related duties minor or incidental to the core responsibilities described above.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of IT support experience ideally in a law firm or professional-services environment.
- Remote support experience required.
- Ability to work cohesively with team members.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 Azure AD Intune and Autopilot.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for non-technical users.
- Detail-oriented organized and proactive problem solver with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with legal-practice systems like NetDocuments or WebTMS preferred.
- Able to work onsite in Austin as needed.
Salary
- $55000 - $70000 per year (eligible for overtime)
