Job Summary
This position must meet all the requirements of a Senior Desktop Analyst as well as specific detailed functions explained below for the HIS Department. The qualified individual will be responsible for providing level 1 through 3 hardware and software support to desktop Wyse terminals and laptop workstations. Also included among daily troubleshooting and problem resolution (tickets) are; departmental projects rollouts and PC installations. Knowledge of PC Operating systems Networking Computer Operations and Helpdesk Support.
JOB DUTIES (List in order of importance)
1. Manage desktop tickets/work orders for Department of Public Health assigning and following up on requests desktop services.
2. Dispatch desktop analysts to Cook County of Public Health locations.
3. Coordinate receipt allocation and installation of new PCs printers laptops and software with CCDPH Finance.
4. Coordinate CCDPH equipment moves.
5. Maintain CCDPH records- installed hardware and software.
6. Oversee software license management process and software installation for CCDPH purchased software.
7. Collaborate with CCHHS IT and Cook County Bureau of Technology to resolve IT infrastructure and network related issues.
8. Document procedures to support scanning documents from multifunction copiers to email.
9. Document procedures and oversee support of Wyse devices deployed in clinics for access to Cerner.
10. Initiate corrective action provide/carry out instructions to resolve end users problems.
11. Contribute to/provide reporting of CCDPH Desktop
12. Coordinate Cornerstone equipment. activities.
13. Provide level 1 through 3 day-to-day IT Desktop support for all desktop technology devices including desktops laptops Wyse devices printing wireless and networking.
14. Provide desktop support involving Windows operating systems and MS Office.
15. Implement HIS departmental projects and rollouts.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Five years work experience as a desktop analyst in an IT environment.
2. Associate Degree required Bachelors Degree MCSE A and Microsoft Office Certifications.
3. Must have minimum 5 years experience resolving end users hardware and software issues in an IT environment.
4. Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems independently quickly and function in a fast-paced environment.
5. Self-motivator able to be a team player and establish positive working relationships and collaborate across organization lines.
6. Leadership ability demonstrated in experience coordinating small to medium teams.
7. Able to organize and prioritize the desktop workload for the day and guide the team to complete it.
8. Able to rebuild and reformat computers. Familiar with troubleshooting Windows operating systems.
9. Must display the ability to communicate clearly interact with varied customer levels and pay close attention to detail.
10. Must have the ability to travel to 15 off-site clinic locations.
EDUCATION
1. Associate Degree or a minimum of 5 years work experience in an Information Technology environment.
2. Work experience in a health care environment preferred. teams. preferred.
