Damar Services is looking for a Dentist to help build and grow our dental services while providing high-quality patient-centered care as part of an integrated healthcare team. This is an exciting opportunity for a Dentist who wants to practice comprehensive dentistry while making a meaningful impact. Youll provide preventive restorative and surgical dental care while collaborating with medical behavioral health nursing and other healthcare professionals.

Schedule: Monday-Friday daytime schedule with no weekends and no on-call
Monday-Wednesday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM; Thursday 8:00 AM-6:00 PM; Friday 8:00 AM-4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive preventive restorative and surgical dental care
• Perform procedures including fillings crowns bridges implants dentures root canal treatment tooth extractions and corrective jaw surgery
• Assess patients oral health needs and develop individualized treatment plans
• Order perform and interpret diagnostic testing and dental imaging
• Educate patients and caregivers on recommended treatment preventive care and ongoing oral health needs
• Respond to dental emergencies and provide appropriate treatment follow-up and referrals
• Provide individualized patient-centered dental care to individuals with diverse medical behavioral developmental and communication needs
• Supervise and provide clinical oversight to the Dental Hygienist
• Collaborate with medical behavioral health nursing and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
• Help develop and grow Damars dental services including clinical workflows protocols and standards of care
• Support quality improvement efforts focused on clinical quality patient safety access to care and the overall patient experience

Qualifications and Skills

• Required:
  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental education program
  • Current unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of Indiana
  • Current DEA registration
  • Be clear of any felony convictions substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and physical
  • Favorably meet and maintain Damars background screening

• Preferred:

  • Newer dentists are encouraged to apply! Previous professional dental experience is preferred but not required

  • Experience in a community health FQHC integrated healthcare or similar setting
  • Experience providing care to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities behavioral health needs or other complex healthcare needs
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience

Essential Job Functions

The essential functions of this position require the physical ability and mobility needed to perform the job.
