Deli Attendant

• Serves food beverages or desserts to guests in such settings as take-out counters of 24/7 café venue.

• Performs cleaning duties such as sweeping mopping and transporting dishes to keep equipment and facilities sanitary. Scrubs and polishes counters clean tables and other equipment; cleans glasses dishes and fountain equipment.
• Prepares bills for food using MICROS POS accepts payment or makes change and balances receipts and payments in cash drawers.
• Cooks food or prepares food items such as sandwiches pizzas and salads using standard formulas or following directions and delivers orders to the kitchen and picks up and serves food when it is ready.
• Provides friendly quick professional service demonstrating willingness to serve guests with a smile.
• Checks to ensure that all foods are displayed attractively as per departmental standard.

• Handles food appropriately maintaining proper food handling safety and sanitation standards.
• Informs Supervisor when food quantities are low.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; One year of food service experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Previous cash handling experience.
• Excel both independently and working as part of a team.
• Ability to stand stoop bend lift and walk throughout the duration of shift.

• Ability to tolerate second-hand smoke noise and bright lights.
• Ability to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment.
