Role Description
The Deductions Clerk is responsible for reviewing customer invoices with short payments to determine whether deductions are valid or if a corrected invoice should be created. This position requires a high level of accuracy strong analytical skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced office environment. Daily responsibilities include researching payment discrepancies entering data into the companys accounting system maintaining accurate records and communicating with internal departments as needed to resolve billing issues. This role involves significant data entry and computer work and is ideal for an individual who enjoys detail-oriented tasks and problem-solving.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous accounting deductions accounts receivable billing or related office experience preferred
• Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn company software
• Excellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to analyze invoices and identify payment discrepancies
• Dependable with excellent attendance and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
