Leidos Defense Systems Manufacturing is seeking a Deburr Technician to join our Platform Integration Facility team in Huntsville AL.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform deburring polishing and finishing of machine parts using hand tools and power tools.
• Inspect parts for defects burrs and sharp edges to ensure quality standards are met.
• Operate basic equipment such as grinders sanders and other finishing tools.
• Safely operate a forklift to move materials and products as needed.
• Assist with general labor tasks including material handling cleaning and organizing work areas.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean hazard-free workspace.
• Support production team with assembly packaging and other shop tasks as needed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors.
• Read and follow basic work instructions blueprints or diagrams (if applicable).

Basic Qualifications

• Must possess a High School diploma/GED with 1 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in deburring polishing and finishing machine parts with hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds unassisted for extended periods.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift (certification preferred).
• Ability to use hand tools and basic machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Must be able to work overtime when required.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work a full-time 4-days per week 10-hours per shift.
• Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess or meet the eligibility requirements to obtain (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing deburring or general labor.
