When: Full-Time Monday through Friday 7:45 AM 3:45 PM - home for evenings and weekends every time
Were a close-knit day program team supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and honestly were excited to find the right person to grow with us. If youre kind patient and looking for work that actually feels good at the end of the day wed really love to meet you.
As our Day Program Specialist / DSP youll spend your days helping participants with things like hygiene meals and getting around safely while also jumping into fun activities and community outings that bring real joy to their week. Youll follow along with each persons individualized plan keep simple notes in our system and help drive our agency vehicle on outings. Most of all youll help create a space that feels warm respectful and genuinely welcoming.
Heres what we hope you bring: a high school diploma or GED a valid CT drivers license with a clean record and willingness to get CPR First Aid and AED certified (well help guide you through that and Medication Administration training too if its needed for the role). Good communication basic computer comfort and a caring steady attitude go a long way here.
Some days youll be on your feet a lot helping with lifts transfers and mobility support and staying alert for anyones needs. Its active work but its also incredibly rewarding.
