Job Overview

As aDatabase Analyst you will helpmaintaindatabase environments that support essential business and mission functions. You willbe responsible formonitoring database performance supporting backup and recovery efforts implementing security controls andassistingwith database design and integration initiatives.

This role offers the opportunity to work with enterprise database environments while collaborating with developers engineers system administrators and customers to ensure database systemsremainsecure reliable and efficient.

What Youll Do

  • Install configuremaintain andmonitordatabase systems and applications
  • Administer database environments to ensure availability reliability and performance
  • Perform database backups recovery procedures and disaster recovery support activities
  • Monitor database performance and recommend improvements tooptimizeefficiency
  • Implement andmaintaindatabase security controls permissions and user access
  • Troubleshoot database issues and support problem resolution efforts
  • Support database design development and implementation activities
  • Assistwith data migration conversion and integration efforts
  • Develop andmaintaindatabase documentation procedures and reports
  • Coordinate with system administrators developers engineers and customers to support mission requirements
  • Ensure database environmentscomply withorganizational policies and technical requirements

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Information Technology Computer Engineering or a related field
  • Three (3) years of experience in database administration database management data administration or a related information technology field
  • Knowledge of database administration principles and best practices
  • Knowledge of database security backup and recovery procedures
  • Knowledge of relational database concepts and data management processes
  • Ability to analyze and resolve database performance and operational issues
  • Ability to develop andmaintaintechnical documentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Proficiencywith database management tools and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to obtain andmaintaina government security clearance if

Preferred Experience

  • Masters degree in Computer Science Information Systems Information Technology or a related field
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense or Federal Government programs
  • Experience with database performance tuning and optimization
  • Experience supporting backup recovery and disaster recovery processes
  • Experience working with enterprise database environments
