Background

Internationally recognized as a premier museum and research center the Frick is known for its distinguished Old Master paintings and outstanding examples of European sculpture and decorative arts.


The collection originated with Henry Clay Frick () who bequeathed his home paintings sculptures and decorative arts to the public for their enjoyment. The institutions holdingswhich encompass masterworks from the Renaissance through the nineteenth centuryhave grown over the decades more than doubling in size since the opening of the museum in 1935. A critical component of the institution is the Frick Art Research Library founded in 1920 by Helen Clay Frick daughter of the museums founder. Recognized as one of the worlds top art history research centers it has served students scholars and members of the public free of charge for generations.


The Frick has undergone a comprehensive renovation and was open in a temporary home Frick Madison from 2020 through early 2024 while renovations were underway at the mansion on 70th addition to special exhibition galleries and education spaces we have added enhanced visitor amenities and accessible spaces. The Museum and Art Research Library reopened to the public in April 2025.

Position Summary

The Database Analyst supports the institutions data infrastructure by helping maintain analyze and report on information housed in our CRM (Raisers Edge) and related systems. This role plays a key part in ensuring data accuracy and accessibility across departments assisting with data imports/exports and producing reports that inform institutional decision-making. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented communicates well across teams and is comfortable learning new tools and workflows.


Requirements
  • Knowledge of CRM database solutions specifically Raisers Edge
  • Familiarity with ecommerce and/or event ticketing systems
  • Strong reporting skills with demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Proficiency with Tableau for data visualization and reporting
  • Experience assisting with the maintenance of database solutions in a multi-department or institutional setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Ability to learn new systems and workflows quickly and independently
  • Experience importing and exporting data between database systems
  • Familiarity with Snowflake and AI tools (Claude)
  • Experience with other reporting tools (Crystal Reports Microsoft Power BI and/or Power Automate)

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the maintenance upkeep and integrity of database solutions used across the institution
  • Import and export data between systems ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout the process
  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards that support data-driven decision-making
  • Analyze data trends and provide insights to relevant departments and stakeholders
  • Support database health and maintenance for various organization databases- including data entry or cleanup
  • Collaborate with staff across departments to understand reporting needs and translate them into actionable outputs
  • Assist with data related to ecommerce and/or event ticketing systems as needed
  • Learn and adapt to new systems tools and workflows as the institutions technology needs evolve
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail when working with sensitive or high-volume data
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to implement and uphold data governance policies including data classification vendor management and quality standards across enterprise systems.


Physical Requirements

The physical requirements of this role are needed to perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation(s).


Physical requirements are comparable to most office roles. Ability to interact in-person with colleagues. Use common office tools and machines (computer phone). Ability to traverse throughout the office and building(s) both inside and outside of the museum and visit different levels of the building. Ability to carry/transport materials weighing up to 20 pounds.



Benefits in Employment with the Frick Collection

Paid Holidays: Full-time employees are eligible for 14 paid holidays all federal holidays including Juneteenth and Election Day and four floating holidays: two may be used in the first half of the calendar year two may be used in the second half of the calendar year.


Sick and Vacation time: Eligible full-time employees accrue up to 12 sick and 15 vacation days their first year of subsequent years eligible full-time employees accrue up to 12 sick days and 25 vacation days/year.


Paid Family leave: In addition to adhering to all federal family leave laws we provide all eligible employees with paid bereavement and family leave.


Health Dental and Vision insurance: all full-time employees and their eligible dependents may enroll in employer sponsored benefits plans. Employees contribute to the cost of health insurance based on income level and type of coverage selected.
