- Design implement secure and maintain robust database solutions in support of a FSM program.
- Oversee database architecture that supports complex data warehousing ETL and migration activities from legacy financial systems.
- Manage day-to-day operations of AWS-based relational database services (RDS) Oracle Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments.
- Ensure database security and compliance in line with federal information security standards (FISMA NIST 800-53).
- Leverage Informatica IICS PowerCenter and IDQ tools to support data integration quality assurance and migration tasks.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries APIs and WebADIs to enhance performance and streamline data access across platforms.
- Implement and monitor database backup recovery and high availability strategies.
- Collaborate with technical and security teams to ensure alignment with DHS common operating environment and enterprise architecture policies.
- Monitor performance troubleshoot issues and proactively mitigate risks related to data access and integrity.
- Support audits and maintain compliance documentation for cybersecurity controls.
What We Need From You (Required):
- 5 years leading data modeling warehousing and migration activities.
- 5 years of hands-on experience with AWS RDMS.
- 5 years working with Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server.
- 5 years of SQL development experience using WebADIs and APIs.
- U.S. Citizenship required DHS Suitability preferred or ability to obtain one.
Bonus Points (Desired):
- Experience managing DHS data modernization or ERP efforts.
- Familiarity with Informatica IICS PowerCenter and IDQ.
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA data landscapes and integration patterns.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity (e.g. ISSE or ISSO roles).
- Certifications: CISSP CISM AWS Certified Database Specialty or equivalent.
- Hybrid Remote. Occasional travel may be required.
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust.
- Bachelors degree in Information Systems IT Management or related field.
- Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $100k - $125k.
