Database Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage maintain and optimize enterprise database environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database performance tuning backup and recovery security management troubleshooting and ensuring high availability of mission-critical systems.

Required Skills

• 9 years of experience as a Database Administrator.
• Strong experience with Oracle SQL Server PostgreSQL MySQL or other relational databases.
• Expertise in database installation configuration patching and upgrades.
• Experience with backup and recovery strategies.
• Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization.
• Experience with High Availability (HA) Disaster Recovery (DR) Replication and Clustering.
• Strong SQL scripting and query optimization skills.
• Experience with database security auditing and access control.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or GCP.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Install configure upgrade and maintain database systems.
• Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies.
• Manage backup recovery and disaster recovery processes.
• Ensure database security integrity and availability.
• Perform database migrations and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with application developers and infrastructure teams.
• Create and maintain database documentation and operational procedures.
• Implement automation for routine database administration tasks.
• Support production testing and development environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
• Database certifications such as:
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
  • AWS Database Specialty
• Experience with automation tools like PowerShell Python or Shell Scripting.
