Database Administration Senior Advisor- Hybrid

Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc. seeks a Database Administration Senior Advisor for the Austin TX location to provide counsel and advice to top management on significant Database Administration & Management matters often requiring coordination between organizations.

Responsibilities:

Develop the most complex database systems for the organization.

Coordinates with senior leaders to determine requirements.

Analyze design create and implement complex databases including access methods device allocations validation checks organization and security.

Interpret internal or external issues and recommends solutions/ best practices.

Design complex data models logical and physical databases data dictionaries and schemas.

Liaison with database software vendors and external technical support on issues such as software upgrades problems and potential solutions.

Review systems under development and related documentation.

May participate in vendor selection and relationship management.

Lead project teams monitoring project schedules and costs.

Focus on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines.

Recognized internally as the go-to person for the most complex Database Administration assignments.

Hybrid work schedule.

Qualifications:

Masters degree in Computer Science Electrical Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience in any database administration role. Will accept a Bachelors degree and 5 years of experience.

Must have experience with: SolarWinds Orion; AWS; Oracle; PostgreSQL;

Database performance tuning; data replication tools including Oracle GoldenGate Qlik Replicate and IBM InfoSphere Data Replication;

Splunk; Dynatrace; service metrics dashboard creation;

Product lifecycle management; product upgrades; troubleshooting data mismatch issues; hybrid cloud environment management;

Creating solutions using Generative AI (Gen AI) and Large Language Models (LLMs); network encryption setup; and security compliance.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
