Data Sharing Coordinator PT Term

The position will serve as the primary Vanderbilt point of contact for data-sharing activities conducted in collaboration with the TEES team at Texas A&M University led by Dr. Byung-Jun Yoon.

The coordinator will facilitate communication between the Vanderbilt and Texas A&M teams track data-sharing activities and requirements and help ensure that relevant information action items and deliverables are communicated and addressed in a timely manner.

This is a part-time/flex position lasting until August 31 2027.

About the Work Unit:

Chemistry is the intellectual home to over 250 students post-docs and faculty members working in a wide range of specializations as well as the interdisciplinary fields of chemical biology molecular toxicology materials chemistry and nanotechnology. Close collaboration with the School of Medicine School of Engineering and other departments within the College of Arts and Science - particularly the departments of Biological Sciences and Physics - provides valuable opportunities to not only excel in the traditional disciplines of chemistry but also investigate the many ways that chemistry intersects with other fields.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact between the Vanderbilt research team and the Texas A&M TEES team for activities related to project data sharing.

• Participate in monthly data-sharing coordination meetings with the Texas A&M team.

• Coordinate with the Vanderbilt project lead to review the status of data-sharing activities upcoming requirements and outstanding action items.

• Facilitate communication of data-sharing needs timelines and deliverables between participating teams.

• Track action items and follow up with relevant project personnel as needed.

• Support continuity and consistency in data-sharing activities throughout the ARPA-H project.

• Assist with documentation related to data-sharing activities and project requirements as needed.

Expected Effort:

The anticipated commitment is approximately 2 hours per month consisting primarily of:

• Approximately 1 hour per month for coordination meetings with the Texas A&M TEES team.

• Approximately 1 hour per month for internal coordination with the Vanderbilt project lead including review of progress action items and necessary follow-up.

Supervisory Relationships:

This position does not have supervisory responsibility; this position reports functionally to the Principal Investigator and administratively to the department Administrative Manager.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in biology chemistry biomedical sciences bioinformatics computer science or data science.

• Experience supporting or coordinating research projects in an academic or research environment.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to coordinate activities across multiple research teams and institutions.

• Ability to track project requirements action items and deliverables.

• Familiarity with collaborative research projects and scientific data-sharing processes preferred.

• Prior familiarity with the ARPA-H project and its data-sharing activities is preferred.
