The Role
Morningstar DBRS is seeking a Data Research Analyst to join our Data Management team supporting Structured Financesecurity mappingsand enterprise data initiatives. This roleis responsible forensuring the accuracy completeness and timeliness of critical ratings and regulatory datasets while contributing to broader data governance andAIreadydata standards across the organization.
This position offers exposure tofixed income dataand AI / Data governance functionsand works closely with global stakeholders across Data Credit Operations and Technology teams.
The Responsibilities:
Perform Structured Finance security mappings ensuring accuracy and completeness of identifiers.
Execute daily data quality controls across production datasets includingprepublicationvalidations and reconciliations against external sources.
Contribute to data governanceand AI readyinitiatives including population and maintenance of metadatadata dictionary and mapping out data lineage
Investigate resolve and document data issues in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Support regulatory and reporting processes including execution of data quality checks aligned to regulatory standards
Reconcile regulatory datasets and reporting outputs to ensure consistency and compliance
The Requirements:
Bachelors degree inBusinessEconomics Finance Data Science or Management Studies
13 years of experience in datagovernance data operations analytics or financial services
Strong attention to detail and ability to work withtimesensitivehighqualitydata
Proven ability to analyze reconcile andvalidatedatasets from multiple sources
Proficiencyin Microsoft Excel; experience with databases or SQL is an asset
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
The Preferred Qualifications:
Experience relatedto Structured Finance credit ratings or capital markets data
Experience with data governance metadata or data quality frameworks
Experience working with AI initiatives and projects
Total Cash Compensation (Base Plus Bonus Target) $59900 to $87850
