Position Summary:
The Specialist Data Quality and Compliance will work directly with the Manager of Data Analytics and Reporting and departmental management to determine objectives and activities in providing quality data collection warehousing training reporting systems and outcomes for our organizational and departmental leaders and contract partners. This role will assist with the collection warehousing and reporting of departmental this role the Specialist is responsible for keeping supervisors and departmental leadership informed of data integrity data trends and recommended improvements in the data system.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Position Specific:
- Provide daily review maintenance and revision of departmental data
- Provide 1-1 and group training for operational staff including practitioners and supervisors
- Assist creation and preparation of daily weekly and monthly departmental reports
- Handle troubleshooting and support of practitioners and supervisors collecting data
- Maintain integrity of data warehouse data collection protocols and data warehousing procedures
- Participate in weekly and monthly Data Team and Departmental meetings
- Support end users with software support as it relates to data and reporting
General:
- Will treat all Urban Alchemy guests staff and stakeholders with compassion and respect
- Use emotional intelligence to effectively engage and connect with others
- Follow all safety procedures and ensure compliance with OSHA state local and Urban Alchemy policies
- Attend orientation and complete all required training mandated by the organization or funders
- Wear designated Urban Alchemy uniform and ID badge at all times
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors
Position Requirements:
Position Specific:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent preferred
- 2 to 4 years of experience in a same or similar role
- Must be experienced at troubleshooting systems
- Must be proficient with Macs and PCs
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have familiarity with a range of software and hardware
- Must have familiarity with a range of spreadsheet functions
- Experience with Tableau Salesforce or similar software is a plus
- Experience with Zendesk or other ticketing/incident management systems is a plus
Character and Judgment:
- You are an owner not a task-taker. You know what needs to happen you track it and you close the loop without being asked. If something is running low it is your job to catch it before it runs out.
- You move with urgency. A worksite waiting on PPE or a broken copier is not a minor inconvenience. You respond quickly communicate clearly and do not let requests sit.
- You hold a high standard for accuracy. Procurement records budget tracking and inventory counts have downstream consequences. You check your work.
- You communicate proactively. When a delivery is delayed a vendor is unresponsive or a request will take longer than expected you say so early. Silence is never the answer.
- You are resourceful and solutions-oriented. You do not wait to be told what to do when something is not working. You identify the problem find a path forward and loop in leadership when appropriate.
- You are disciplined in following process. Urban Alchemy has built the infrastructure: the workflows the approval processes the documentation standards. Your value is in executing them rigorously not in reinventing them.
- You adapt without losing your footing. Urban Alchemy is a growing organization. New worksites new contracts new requirements. You handle change without dropping open items.

Physical Requirements:
- Standing: 1 hours per day
- Walking: 2 hours per day
- Sitting: 5 hours per day
- Bending at Waist: less than 2 hours per day
- Lifting: Up to 40 lbs occasionally (supply boxes equipment)
- Occasionally moves within the office to attend meetings or retrieve documents from printers or fax machines
- Constantly operates a computer and other standard office equipment
Work Environment:
- Work is performed in a shelter site with direct regular exposure to the shelter environment and guests served
- May involve exposure to extreme temperatures dirt dust fumes smoke unpleasant odors and/or loud noises
In-Office Requirement:
- This position requires full-time in-office presence five days per week
- In-office presence is non-negotiable and is essential to how this role serves Operations
