Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Data Modeller to design develop and maintain enterprise data models that support business intelligence analytics reporting and operational applications. The role involves translating business requirements into conceptual logical and physical data models while ensuring data quality consistency scalability and governance.
The Data Modeller will work closely with Business Analysts Data Engineers Solution Architects Database Administrators and business stakeholders to create robust and scalable data architectures.

Key Responsibilities:
Data Modelling
- Strong understanding of Conceptual Logical and Physical Data Modelling.
- Strong knowledge of Relational Data Modelling and ER Modelling.
- Experience with Dimensional Data Modelling.
- Good understanding of normalization and denormalization techniques.
- Experience designing Star and Snowflake schemas.
- Understanding of slowly changing dimensions (SCD) fact tables dimension tables and surrogate keys.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Good knowledge of relational databases such as:
- PostgreSQL
- Oracle
- SQL Server
- MySQL
- Snowflake
- Understanding of database performance indexing partitioning and query optimization.
- Knowledge of database constraints and referential integrity.
- Experience with data warehouse and data lake concepts.
- Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data integration.
- Experience with one or more cloud data platforms such as:
- AWS
- Microsoft Azure
- Google Cloud Platform
- Exposure to platforms such as Snowflake Databricks Azure Synapse BigQuery or Amazon Redshift is desirable.
Experience with one or more of the following:
- Erwin Data Modeler
- ER/Studio
- SAP Power Designer
- Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler
- Sparx Enterprise Architect
- Lucid chart
- Microsoft Visio
- Bachelors or masters degree in computer science Information Technology Data Management or a related field.
- 510 years of experience in data modelling database design data warehousing or related roles.
- Experience working on enterprise data platforms and large-scale data projects.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is preferred.
