Job Summary
Data Manager leads Data Management and Movement team. This lead role will be responsible for developing and implementing data governance policies procedures and standards to ensure the quality security and compliance of the organizations data assets. You will collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of data stewardship and accountability ensuring that data is managed effectively and in line with best practices standards and frameworks.
Specific job duties may include:
Data Governance
Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures focusing on data classification retention protection and movement.
Support compliance efforts to security and/or privacy-related regulations and industry standards.
Establish data stewardship roles and responsibilities.
Data Quality
Define and implement data quality standards and metrics.
Conduct regular data quality assessments and audits focusing on the accuracy and integrity of sensitive financial and personal data.
Develop data cleansing and validation processes.
Data Integration
Work with cross-functional teams to define data governance roles and responsibilities and provide training sessions to educate stakeholders on data governance concepts and requirements.
Ensure seamless data flow across various systems and applications with a focus on payment software and systems handling PII.
Collaborate with IT teams to optimize data integration solutions.
Data Retention and Compliance
Develop and manage data retention policies and schedules.
Ensure data lifecycle management practices comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Regularly review and update retention schedules to reflect changes in laws and business needs.

- Leads in developing implementing and managing organizational data solutions in order to meet business objectives and user requirements; establishes and maintains policies and procedures to ensure that data services are delivered in a high-quality and profitable manner.
- Leverages technical knowledge and industry experience to plan design build and maintain data solutions and services; may lead in building requirements designing and building data service infrastructure on multiple data platforms and/or multiple applications.
- Develops strategies for data implementation data acquisition and archive recovery.
- Advises and prepares information for senior leadership direction and methodology for analysis structure and storage of critical organizational data.
- Ensures integrity and maintenance of organizational data; Resolves data integration and security issues for adherence to the organizations quality standards.
