ABOUT NT OMNIUM SERVICES DATA MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS

NT Omnium Services is Northern Trusts integrated global operating model for delivering middle- and back-office solutions to clients pursuing complex multi-asset investment strategies. The Data Management Solutions (DMS) team within Omnium is responsible for delivering accurate timely and compliant data and reporting solutions that support regulatory obligations client commitments and internal risk and control requirements.

The Regulatory Reporting practice partners directly with trading pricing investor and accounting teams to meet obligations across global regulatory frameworks including Form PF AIFMD CPO-PQR and SEC Form ADV.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Senior Consultant operates as a senior technical and strategic resource within the Regulatory Reporting team. This role assumes ownership of complex multijurisdictional regulatory filing programs while driving the design and enhancement of scalable control frameworks data processes and client advisory practices.

The Senior Consultant serves as a key liaison between the Regulatory Reporting team and Northern Trusts technology compliance fund accounting and senior client stakeholders. The role carries significant crossfunctional responsibility and provides high visibility with senior leadership and institutional clients.

MAJOR DUTIES

  • Serve as the accountable subjectmatter authority for a defined portfolio of regulatory filing programs spanning Form PF AIFMD Annex IV CPOPQR SEC Form ADV and TIC reporting ensuring endtoend quality timeliness and compliance
  • Proactively monitor regulatory guidance issued by the SEC CFTC FCA ESMA and other authorities; perform impact assessments and translate regulatory change into actionable operational updates ahead of effective dates
  • Act as the internal escalation authority for complex data exceptions regulatory interpretation questions and edgecase filing scenarios partnering closely with clients and external teams as needed
  • Lead postsubmission quality reviews and rootcause analyses producing structured findings and remediation plans that measurably reduce risk recurrence
  • Operate as a primary senior point of contact for a portfolio of institutional hedge fund clients providing proactive solutionsoriented guidance on regulatory obligations data requirements and emerging regulatory developments
  • Develop and deliver clientfacing materials including regulatory briefings filing summaries exception analyses and forwardlooking impact assessments
  • Partner with Relationship Management and senior leadership on client onboarding expanded mandate scoping regulatory feasibility analysis and responses to investor and regulatory inquiries
  • Collaborate across trading fund accounting operations prime brokerage and compliance teams to ensure complete and accurate reporting across complex client structures
  • Provide structured mentorship and daytoday technical guidance to Analysts and Consultants fostering deep subjectmatter expertise and professional growth
  • Support Managers in workload planning quality review capacity management and onboarding of new mandates and team members
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of internal training programs regulatory knowledge resources and onboarding materials
  • Represent the Reporting function in crossdivisional initiatives and firmwide regulatory programs translating complex requirements for both technical and nontechnical audiences

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Required

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Economics Accounting Mathematics Statistics or a related quantitative discipline; advanced degree (MBA MS) preferred
  • 47 years of progressive experience in regulatory reporting fund administration investment operations or a closely related financial services function
  • Deep expertise in at least two regulatory frameworks relevant to alternative investments (e.g. Form PF AIFMD CPOPQR SEC Form ADV TIC) with working knowledge of a broader regulatory landscape
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and at least one analytical or scripting environment (Python SQL or equivalent)
  • Proven ability to independently manage complex deadlinesensitive workstreams with high precision and accountability
  • Exceptional analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to synthesize ambiguous data into structured findings and executivelevel communication
  • Strong clientfacing communication skills across written verbal and presentation formats

Preferred

  • Audit assurance or advisory experience (e.g. Big Four or similar) particularly within financial services or asset management is strongly preferred given the roles emphasis on data integrity controls documentation and regulatory compliance.
  • Multijurisdictional regulatory experience spanning U.S. and EMEA regimes and complex fund structures (e.g. masterfeeder fundoffunds SMAs multistrategy platforms)
  • Proficiency in BI and analytics tools such as Power BI Tableau or Alteryx including experience building operational or executive dashboards
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting regulatory change and independently developing implementation plans and operational responses
  • CFA CAIA or progress toward a relevant professional designation; or pursuit of an advanced quantitative or regulatory degree
  • Prior experience in a senior analytical or advisory role at a global fund administrator bulgebracket bank Big Four advisory firm or institutional asset manager
  • Experience with regulatory change management including gap analysis system testing parallel runs and stakeholder communication

Salary Range:

$83100 - 141300 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension) health and welfare benefits (medical dental vision spending accounts and disability) paid time off parental and caregiver leave life & accident insurance and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
