The Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS) is seeking dedicated candidates to fill important roles within our department. The main purpose of this position is to provideprofessional administrative support services for the Data Management Unitrelated to incarcerated individuals records facility population counts auditsand individual system access requirements. This will include the assistingcoordinating compiling and processing data in accordance with theresponsibilities assigned to the Data Management Unit. This position acts asthe incarcerated individual locator for the public and various state agenciesvia phone email and fax correspondences. Processing of local agencyreimbursement of jail bills received for incarcerated individuals maintained intheir facilities. This position also assists with the preparation of trainingmaterials and classes hosted by the data management unit.
Education:Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high schoolequivalency certificate.
Experience:One year of experience performing administrative staff clerical clericaltechnical or secretarial work.
Notes:
may substitute 30 credit hours from an accredited college oruniversity for the required experience.
may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as anon-commissioned officer involving staff work requiring regular use ofindependent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting rules andregulations in accordance with agency laws and policies on a year-for-yearbasis for the required experience.

- Experience utilizing Microsoft Office or similar software to analyze and compile data and prepare reports and other documents.
- Experience providing customer service in an office setting.
