Data Integration Analyst

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain processes using Python and Snowflake to transform and validate data from various sources.

• Become an expert in the finance data structures and needs.

• Working with the business leadership team to define requirements.

• Build structure and maintain data warehouse to support reporting and analytics needs.

• Design and build analysis and dashboards supporting strategic insights for key stakeholders.

• Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to identify data needs and address data-related issues.

• Provide support for SQL Server and Snowflake processes as needed.

Annual compensation range for this role is $70000 - $80000 depending on experience.

This position offers a hybrid work option. Nelnet values flexibility and understands the importance of work-life integration. Our hybrid work environment allows associates living within 30 miles of an office location to work remotely for part of the week while also fostering collaboration and team connection through in-office presence three days per week.

EDUCATION:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Data Engineering Information Systems or a related field is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

• 3-5 years of experience in ETL processes or related field.

• 1-2 years of experience in Data Analysis and reporting.

COMPETENCIES SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:

• ETL Expertise: Proficient in extracting transforming and loading data from flat files Excel and other sources into data warehouses ensuring accuracy and consistency in data handling.

• Finance Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial concepts and data structures enabling efficient data processing and insightful analysis specific to industry needs.

• Data Modeling: Ability to design and structure data models for reporting and analysis ensuring optimized performance and scalability of data pipelines.

• Dashboard & Reporting Tools: Experienced in building dynamic dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI Tableau or similar platforms translating complex datasets into actionable insights.

• Data Analysis: Skilled in performing in-depth data analysis to identify trends patterns and opportunities for improvement contributing to strategic decision-making.

• SQL & Python Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of SQL for querying and Python for automating data workflows enhancing efficiency in data management and reporting.

• Problem Solving: Adept at identifying data discrepancies or inefficiencies in processes and implementing solutions to ensure data integrity and seamless operations.

• Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with business and technical teams to understand data needs and deliver results.
