Description:
- Oversee metadata management data lineage tracking and regulatory compliance for all datasets stored within the Data Lake environment.
- Integrate Unity Catalog and OpenLineage methodologies to enhance discoverability classification and security of mission-critical datasets.
- Implement role-based access control (RBAC) measures ensuring that authorized personnel access data per DoD and NIST 800-53 compliance guidelines.
- Submit the Data Governance & Compliance Report providing an assessment of data lineage regulatory adherence and metadata completeness.
Requirements
Experience:
- Possess the knowledge and capability to establish enforce and maintain data governance policies and frameworks across cloud-based and on premises environments.
- Personnel must be proficient in metadata management data lineage tracking data cataloging and regulatory compliance standards such as DoD IL-4/IL-5 FedRAMP and NIST 800-53 Rev. 5.
- Experience with data classification models access controls and policy-based data lifecycle management is required.
- Personnel must have demonstrated experience in developing and managing data governance frameworks implementing metadata and data cataloging solutions and ensuring compliance with DoD and IC data security policies.
- Experience with tools such as Databricks Unity Catalog Collibra Alation AWS Glue or Azure Purview is required.
Education:
- A Bachelors degree in Data Management Information Science Computer Science or a related field or five (5) years of equivalent experience in data governance.
- Desirable but not required certifications include Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) DAMA Certified Data Governance Professional (DGSP) or Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate.
Security clearance:
- An active TS/SCI clearance.
