Data Governance & Redaction Analyst

Location: Charlotte NC Hybrid
Schedule: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote
Contract Length: 12 months

A leading financial services organization is seeking experienced Data Governance & Redaction Analysts to support a large-scale highly visible data transformation and information governance initiative.

This is a 12-month contract opportunity supporting the review and stewardship of more than 23 terabytes of data and files. The team will be responsible for identifying and removing proprietary information reviewing complex files across multiple applications performing data matching and analysis and creating the documentation necessary to ensure accurate stewardship of the data.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong combination of data analysis information governance risk documentation and advanced Microsoft Office skills who enjoys detailed project-based work.

• Review large volumes of documents files and structured/unstructured data as part of an enterprise data redaction initiative.
• Identify proprietary or sensitive information requiring redaction or remediation.
• Perform pre- and post-redaction quality reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Analyze and match data across multiple files and data sources.
• Work with a variety of file formats and applications including Microsoft Excel Word Access Visio and Adobe Acrobat.
• Utilize intermediate to advanced Excel skills including creating and working with formulas.
• Create clear process documentation tracking materials and supporting documentation.
• Assist with the ongoing governance and stewardship of reviewed data.
• Follow established risk data handling and information security procedures.
• Identify discrepancies exceptions or potential risks and escalate appropriately.
• Work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy across a large-scale project.

• Strong experience working with multiple file types and applications including:
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Access
  • Microsoft Visio
  • Adobe Acrobat/PDF files
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills including formulas and data analysis.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to compare reconcile and match data.
• Understanding of risk fundamentals controls or risk management concepts.
• Experience creating detailed process or project documentation.
• Understanding of data governance data stewardship records management information governance or data quality.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies within large amounts of information.
• Ability to work independently prioritize workload and meet project deadlines.

• Previous experience within banking financial services or another highly regulated environment.
• Experience supporting large-scale data remediation data governance records management document review or information management projects.
• Cybersecurity or information security experience.
• Experience working with sensitive confidential or proprietary data.

This is a 12-month engagement with a major financial services organization offering exposure to a large-scale enterprise data initiative. Youll work on a high-volume project involving 23 terabytes of information while gaining valuable experience across data governance risk information management and enterprise data stewardship.
