Data Governance Leader

The Data Governance Leader will lead the firms Data Governance Data Quality and Metadata Management functions ensuring data is trusted well-managed and aligned with business priorities. Reporting to the Chief Data Officer this role will partner across Business Technology Risk Compliance Legal Operations and Information individual will define and execute the enterprise data governance strategy operating model policies and stewardship framework while establishing accountability for data ownership quality metadata lineage and business You Are Good AtEnterprise Data Governance: Building and maturing governance programs operating models policies standards and stewardship frameworks that balance appropriate controls with business Quality & Metadata Management: Establishing scalable data quality and metadata capabilities that improve the accuracy consistency transparency and usability of enterprise Partnership & Influence: Building trusted relationships and influencing across Business Technology Risk Compliance and other stakeholders to establish accountability and support regulatory & Governance Adoption: Building high-performing teams and driving adoption through practical processes data literacy communication and continuous You Will DoEnterprise Data GovernanceDefine and implement the firms enterprise Data Governance strategy operating model policies standards and accountability for data ownership stewardship governance processes and governance forums to prioritize initiatives and resolve cross-functional data governance into business processes solution delivery and operational metrics and executive reporting to measure governance adoption and a culture where data is managed as a strategic business Quality ManagementDefine and implement enterprise Data Quality standards controls and monitoring and measurement practices for critical business data quality scorecards issue management remediation and performance with Business and Technology teams to prioritize and resolve data quality measurable improvements in data accuracy completeness consistency and ManagementDefine the enterprise Metadata Management strategy standards and operating standards for business glossaries critical data elements lineage classifications and data catalog and metadata capabilities that improve data discoverability and consistent business definitions lineage and understanding of critical data metadata supports regulatory compliance analytics reporting and AI Risk & Compliance PartnershipPartner across Business Operations Risk Compliance Legal Information Security and Internal Audit to ensure governance supports regulatory and business data privacy security retention and information management governance capabilities to address changing business and regulatory governance standards that support trusted responsible and compliant use of data for AI & Team DevelopmentBuild and develop a high-performing Data Governance Data Quality and Metadata Management accountability collaboration business partnership and continuous governance tools vendors and strategic initiatives while aligning resources with enterprise data literacy and stewardship through education and organizational You HaveBachelors degree in Business Information Management Computer Science Data Management or a related field; advanced degree preferred.10 years of experience leading Data Governance Data Management Data Quality or related functions within financial services or similarly regulated experience establishing enterprise governance operating models policies standards and stewardship implementing and maturing Data Quality and Metadata Management understanding of governance technologies metadata management data catalogs lineage and data quality ability to partner with and influence senior Business Technology Risk Compliance and other key leading organizational change governance adoption and high-performing work for usBenefits: Janney believes that its employees are the key to what makes a great company.
