Role Overview

We have an exciting internship in our Corporate Headquarters located in Houston TX. The opportunity is one of the best experiences available providing interesting and engaging work within a thriving group. The program offers real-world experience in data engineering AI and analytics managed and delivered by the intern team with support from experienced engineers and project leaders.

Key Responsibilities

• Application Development Assist in designing developing testing and enhancing internal applications using React and Python following established engineering standards and development patterns.
• AI-Assisted Software Engineering Use approved AI coding assistants/Copilots to accelerate code generation debugging documentation testing and refactoring while learning appropriate validation and responsible-use practices.
• API & Data Integration Develop and consume REST APIs and integrate applications with enterprise data platforms and services gaining experience with how applications interact with data engineering ecosystems.
• Testing CI/CD & DevOps Contribute to automated testing code quality checks and GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines including participating in pull requests code reviews and controlled application deployments.
• Agile Team Delivery Participate in the teams software development lifecycle including requirements refinement technical design sprint activities troubleshooting documentation and delivery of production-quality application features.

Requirements

• Minimum 60 complete hours from an accredited college or university.
• Grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher.
• Pursuing a degree in MIS Computer Science Information Technology Computer Engineering Artificial Intelligence or related field

Preferred

• Full-Stack Development Academic project internship or personal-project exposure to JavaScript/TypeScript React or Python and an understanding of basic web application architecture.
• Generative AI & Developer Copilots Exposure to GitHub Copilot or similar generative AI development tools including an interest in prompt-driven development and understanding how generated code should be reviewed and validated.
• Modern Software Engineering Practices Familiarity with Git/GitHub APIs automated testing CI/CD cloud development or DevOps concepts; direct GitHub Actions experience would be beneficial but not required.
