Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and driven Data Engineer to support the design build and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and integration solutions supporting a federal client. This role will focus on building and optimizing ETL/ELT workflows across the data lake data warehouse and analytics platform - leveraging AWS Databricks and Apache Spark.
Key Responsibilities
- Design build andmaintainscalable data pipelines ETL/ELT processes and integration workflows
- Develop transformations and curated datasets usingDatabricks Apache Spark and SQL
- Support ingestion processing and delivery of structured semi-structured and unstructured data
- Build andoptimizeworkflows across data lake data warehouse and analytics platforms
- Implement data quality checks validation rules and operational monitoring across pipelines and datasets
- Improve performance reliability scalability and security of data processing solutions
- Support cloud-based data engineering solutions inAWS including storage and data service integration
- Collaborate with engineers architects analysts and stakeholders to implement technical requirements
- SupportBig Data Advanced Analytics and Machine Learninguse cases from a data engineering perspective
- Maintain documentation for pipelines transformations data flows and operational procedures
- Support code versioning CI/CD and controlled deployment of data engineering assets
- Troubleshoot pipeline data and platform issues across development test and production environments
Qualifications
Education & Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in data engineering or a closely related role.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Sciences Information Systems Engineering or a related field.
Advanced degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Data Engineer Google Cloud Certified Professional Data Engineer Azure Data Engineer Associate) preferred.
