Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and driven Data Engineer to support the design build and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and integration solutions supporting a federal client. This role will focus on building and optimizing ETL/ELT workflows across the data lake data warehouse and analytics platform - leveraging AWS Databricks and Apache Spark.
Key Responsibilities
Design build andmaintainscalable data pipelines ETL/ELT processes and integration workflows
Develop transformations and curated datasets usingDatabricks Apache Spark and SQL
Support ingestion processing and delivery of structured semi-structured and unstructured data
Build andoptimizeworkflows across data lake data warehouse and analytics platforms
Implement data quality checks validation rules and operational monitoring across pipelines and datasets
Improve performance reliability scalability and security of data processing solutions
Support cloud-based data engineering solutions inAWS including storage and data service integration
Collaborate with engineers architects analysts and stakeholders to implement technical requirements
SupportBig Data Advanced Analytics and Machine Learninguse cases from a data engineering perspective
Maintain documentation for pipelines transformations data flows and operational procedures
Support code versioning CI/CD and controlled deployment of data engineering assets
Troubleshoot pipeline data and platform issues across development test and production environments
Qualifications
Education & Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in data engineering or a closely related role.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Sciences Information Systems Engineering or a related field.
Advanced degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Data Engineer Google Cloud Certified Professional Data Engineer Azure Data Engineer Associate) preferred.
