Job Title: Data Center Technician

Location: Fort Lauderdale FL

Duration: Contract

Key Responsibilities:

Installation and Maintenance:

Install configure and maintain servers storage systems network equipment and other data centre hardware.

Monitoring and Troubleshooting:

Monitor the performance of data Center systems identify and resolve technical issues and ensure optimal uptime.

Physical Infrastructure: Manage the physical infrastructure of the data centre including power cooling and cabling.

Security: Implement and maintain security measures to protect data and systems from unauthorized access and threats.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system configurations changes and troubleshooting procedures.

Collaboration: Work with other IT staff vendors and contractors to ensure smooth operations.

Staying Up to Date: Keep abreast of the latest technologies and best practices in data centre operations.

Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Skills: Strong understanding of server hardware networking protocols operating systems and virtualization technologies.

Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.

Physical Dexterity: Ability to work in a data centre environment including lifting and moving equipment.

Communication Skills: Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely.

Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA Server Cisco certifications) can be beneficial.
