Job Description:

The Opportunity

Manage transformer service projects from planning through completion overseeing scope schedules resources budgets vendors and customer communication. The role coordinates cross-functional teams addresses project risks and execution challenges tracks performance and supports continuous improvement initiatives. Project work supports the reliable maintenance and repair of transformer assets while helping ensure successful project execution customer satisfaction and compliance with quality safety and environmental requirements.

How Youll Make an Impact

  • Manage the full lifecycle of transformer service projects from initiation through closure.

  • Develop project plans including scope timelines resource allocation and budgets.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineers technicians subcontractors and third-party contractors.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers maintaining communication and managing expectations throughout project execution.

  • Identify assess and mitigate project risks and issues while developing contingency plans.

  • Monitor project progress track KPIs and provide regular updates to management.

  • Manage project budgets approve expenditures and support cost-effective project delivery.

  • Support post-project reviews and continuous improvement of project management processes and tools within the Services Division.

  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines.


Your Background

  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.

  • Bachelors degree in Business Engineering Project Management or a related field or an associate degree with more than seven years of experience in the transformer or substation field.

  • Minimum of five years of experience in project management with a focus on transformer services or heavy industrial equipment.

  • Experience delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

  • Understanding of transformer technology maintenance and repair processes preferred.

  • Proficiency with project management software including MS Project or Primavera P6.

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.

Pay transparency statement

For applicants in Colorado the expected salary range for this position is $118400.00 - $148000.00 USD annually. Actual compensation may vary based on factors permitted by law including location education experience skills and business considerations. This position is also eligible for the benefits and other compensation programs made available to eligible employees.
