Data Center Audit Technician

Nesco Resource is seeking a Data Center Audit Technician.

We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Data Center Audit Technicians to assist with infrastructure inventory and rack-level equipment auditing within a live data center environment.

This role is focused on manually documenting and verifying installed hardware within server racks. Technicians will move from rack to rack and device to device recording equipment information and nomenclature accurately into provided documentation systems. This is a non-invasive audit role no unracking disconnecting or physical modification of equipment will be performed.

• Perform rack-by-rack and device-by-device inventory audits within a data center environment
• Manually record equipment details asset information and device nomenclature using laptops
• Accurately document hardware locations and rack contents
• Verify visible equipment information and maintain detailed records
• Follow all data center safety security and access procedures
• Maintain professionalism and accuracy while working in a live production environment
• Communicate clearly with project leads and on-site personnel regarding progress and findings

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Comfortable working inside a data center environment for extended periods
• Ability to accurately document technical equipment information manually
• Basic familiarity with server network and rack-mounted hardware terminology preferred
• Ability to use laptops and spreadsheet or documentation software efficiently
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Professional demeanor and ability to follow strict operational procedures

• No scan guns or barcode scanners will be used
• All device information will be recorded manually
• No unracking disconnecting or physical manipulation of equipment is required
• Laptops will be required for documentation purposes

• Standard business hours
• Possible overtime depending on project scope and timeline
