About the Role

The Certified Damage Prevention Technician will report to the Operations Lead. The position will play a key role in safety and quality while driving parking and performing audits on marked gas lines. This position requires a high level of physical activity and working in a wide variety of weather conditions.

***Salary Transparency: Pay for this role is at $18/hour. ***

What Youll Do

• Compliance & Safety
  • Assure compliance with Code Rule 753 and promote safe excavation practices
  • Follow strict Utility State and Federal guidelines relating to damage prevention
  • Wear assigned personal protective equipment (PPE) and company uniform
  • Follow safety quality and operational procedures
  • Participate in safety meetings
• Gas Main Locating & Site Visits
  • Hand out educational materials and public awareness items to excavators
  • Visit 3rd party excavation sites and construction zones regularly
  • Collect data using handheld tablet or other collection device
  • Show courtesy and professionalism when dealing with customers and other employees
  • Complete Work Orders on assigned dates
  • Travel to visit sites on occasion

• Communication & Collaboration
  • Provide timely reports and documentation to management regularly
  • Escalate issues and questions to Supervisor when necessary
  • Maintain a satisfactory attendance record
  • Keep assigned vehicle clean
  • Report equipment and vehicle issues immediately
  • Communicate with dispatchers
• Other duties as needed

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a valid drivers license
