Cybersecurity Architect (Lead)

Peraton seeks a Cybersecurity Architect (Lead) to support Department of War Cyber Defense Command (DCDC) with defensive cyberspace operations and AI support.

Location: Fort Meade MD.

In this role you will serve as the lead for the teams Analytic Support Officers responsible for cybersecurity readiness assessments Zero Trust architecture and ensuring compliance with security standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead team of 6 cybersecurity professionals
• Design and implement Zero Trust (ZT) architecture
• Conduct cybersecurity readiness assessments
• Oversee RMF compliance and accreditation
• Direct threat intelligence integration
• Manage vulnerability assessments and remediation

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D. Will consider Associate 14 or HS 16 years of experience
• Requires current CISSP CISM or CASP IA cybersecurity certification
• Expert knowledge of Zero Trust architecture
• Strong RMF and NIST framework experience
• Proficiency in security tools (SIEM IDS/IPS)
• Experience with DoD cybersecurity requirements
• Experience leading security teams
• U.S. Citizenship required
• DoD TS with ability to obtain/maintain SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree is required; Masters degree is preferred in Cybersecurity or Computer Science
• 12 years relevant experience
