Job Summary

WORK SCHEDULE

  • Tuesday through Thursday 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
  • Approximately 12 hours per week
  • Additional hours may be available based on business needs
  • In-office position

WHY THIS JOB IS IMPORTANT

Support the Customs Brokerage department by ensuring shipment documentation tracking information and operational records are processed accurately and efficiently. Contribute to operational excellence through document management cargo visibility and timely administrative support.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

Provide administrative and operational support to the Customs Brokerage team through document review data entry cargo tracking and document preparation activities. Ensure information is accurately maintained within company systems while supporting the efficient movement of freight and information.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Review shipment and customs documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Enter and maintain shipment information within company systems.
  • Track cargo movements and update shipment records as required.
  • Utilize document conversion tools to prepare documents for operational processing.
  • Organize and maintain electronic shipment files and records.
  • Communicate with carriers regarding shipment status and documentation requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal Expeditors offices and operational teams.
  • Support communications with government agencies when required.
  • Follow established SOPs work instructions and operational standards.
  • Update internal documentation and help with recordkeeping
  • Maintain data accuracy and confidentiality of customer information.

Qualifications :

 

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to learn new systems and processes.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and follow established procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in customs brokerage logistics transportation or supply chain operations.
  • Basic understanding of shipping or customs documentation.
