Customer Service Representative

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following; additional duties may be assigned:

• Assists customers with questions and concerns regarding orders.
• Enters orders received and follows up with customers on unit pricing and anticipated ship dates.
• Verifies inventory availability when entering orders and coordinates with Manufacturing and Purchasing to ensure that inventory is available for placed orders.
• Maintains customer pricing schedules in accordance with approved product bids.
• Assists customers with returns and generates return authorization forms for shipping team.
• Forges and maintain relationships with customers by keeping them informed of potential issues as well as new products and current promotions.
• Works with computer programs including Microsoft Office products Inventory and Manufacturing software such as Southware and is comfortable learning new software when necessary.
• Other duties assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate is proactive self-sufficient and able to manage multiple daily priorities within established timelines. Excellent written and verbal communication problem-solving analytical ability and business judgment are essential for understanding how customer-service decisions affect the broader business. This is an in-office position. Remote or Hybrid schedules are not currently offered.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. A degree or certification from a college or technical school is highly desirable. This position requires at least two years of relevant experience in customer service and data entry.
