Custodian Part Time Elementary

CUSTODIAN - PART TIME - ELEMENTARY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Custodial duties include all phases of commercial cleaning
• Setup and tear down of various school spaces (cafeteria gymnasium classrooms etc.)
• Light maintenance duties and security responsibilities throughout the building.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Ability to work effectively with staff students and parents
• Knowledge of basic cleaning and disinfecting procedures
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and follow directions

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand walk and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. The employee must be able to push items of 50 lbs. such as pushing equipment or moving/rearranging furniture. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision and peripheral vision.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Monday through Friday 5 Hours/Day (6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.) 25 Hours/Week 52 Weeks/Year. Occasional extra work hours are available during week and/or weekend.

BENEFITS: Paid time off paid holidays shoe allowance (prorated on hours worked) and excellent retirement benefits through the Michigan Public School Employees Retirement Program. This position does not offer health benefits.
