Job Description

Peterson Cat has the immediate need for a Part-Time Custodian at our North Bend location. Shift- Monday-Friday 2:00pm to 6:00 pm.

The Custodian is responsible for day-to-day cleaning and upkeep of one or more Peterson facilities. Depending on assignment and location this role may occasionally assist with clerical duties for the Facilities department.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Sweep mop and scrub all floors.
• Empty trash garbage and recycling containers daily.
• Clean and wash walls windows door panels and sills.
• Clean all restroom fixtures and refill dispensers.
• Dust furniture walls machines and furniture.
• Complete assigned online training by the established due date(s).
• Maintain punctual regular and predictable attendance.

Depending on assignment and location this role may assist up to 30% of the time with clerical duties including but not limited to reviewing maintenance work orders document scanning and filing email communications and updating expense spreadsheets.

• Basic computer skills are required including ability to:
  • Navigate basic computer systems and programs.
  • Use a computer to clock in and out of work.
  • Complete online training courses with minimal technical assistance.
  • Effectively communicate via email and other communication platforms (i.e. Microsoft Teams).

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and a minimum of one (1) year of experience as a custodian preferably in a heavy industrial environment; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

CERTIFICATES LICENCENSES REGISTRATIONS

• Must have ability to obtain a lift truck certification.
