EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Knowledge of traffic and pedestrian safety laws.
- Valid Colorado drivers license.
- Any other combination of related education experience and training.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Summary/Objective: Provides pedestrian safety to school children in street crossing at Elementary Schools
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for assisting school children in crossing the street.
- Report all accidents to police as soon as possible.
- Report any road or safety hazards.
Report all violations.
Additional Qualifications:
Ability and willingness to work in all weather to work well with childrenand effectively communicate. Ability to interact with the public in a tactful and courteous manner. Ability to maintain a good working relationship with the school authorities and the police department personnel. Ability to make common sense decisions. Bilingual skills preferred butnot required.
