From individual facilities to a worldwide network Infrastructure Services ensures the technology underneath everything works without question. nnAs a Critical Facilities Technician you will address sophisticated topics that craft how we maintain and operate our facilities and generate ideas that push team members and senior leaders to expand the boundaries of innovation and technology. With your technical expertise you will ensure compliance with codes and standards develop infrastructure improvements and serve as an expert in your specialty (e.g. cooling electrical).

Critical Facilities Technicians are responsible for the safe professional and operationally sound manipulation of the systems such as cooling and electrical that support systems in high-availability high-risk or high-reliability environments.

Regularly inspect and supervise critical equipment and respond to irregular or malfunctioning Complete assigned tasks efficiently and without disruption to the Follow established procedures for assigned activitiesnn Collaborate cross functionally with teams as well as vendors and suppliers to achieve Follow all federal state and local regulations for operations and work appropriate PPE such as ARC Flash suits and/or coverall in a variety of : Critical Facilities Technicians work 8 10 or 12 hours per day on a rotating shift schedule including graveyard weekend and holiday shifts and may work overtime depending on business needs.

Experience with mechanical electrical and/or fire life safety systemsnnAbility to read and interpret fire system electrical system and mechanical system drawingsnnAbility to sit stand bend stoop push pull reach and lift as required on a continuous basis with items that can weigh up to 75 lbsnnAbility to work extended hours within a Data Center Environment and typically within a heat range of 60 degrees Fahrenheit upwards of 110 degrees Fahrenheit while following OSHA driven work rest Ability to climb and use a ladder varying in types from A-Frame to extension ladders at various heights.

4 years of related experience in a critical to perform practical applications of preventative and corrective maintenance for mechanical electrical plumbing and other infrastructure systemsnnUnderstanding of hyper scale electrical and mechanical systems and NFPA70e and OSHA Regulations that pertain to data centersnn Knowledge of safety procedures established techniques and equipmentnn Ability to build relationships and collaboratenn Excellent time management skillsnn Ability to take initiative with minimal directionnnExcellent communication skills both verbal and written to effectively communicate with team members and other departments
