As a Correctional Security Guard - Armed in Charleston SC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government corrections location you will conduct routine patrols maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents and respond professionally to emerging concerns. Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to facility staff visitors and authorized personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures policies and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings grounds access points and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity hazards and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access to assigned areas verify credentials as required and document visitor and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and public agencies as directed.
• Prepare clear accurate reports of patrols incidents observations and other security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid drivers license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess at least one year of law enforcement experience at least two years of security-related supervisor or manager experience or at least three years of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
