Schedule: Monday-Friday; evenings and weekends may be required based on program needs

Lifeline Community Services is seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) VITA Coordinator to support our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program. This position plays a key role in coordinating tax preparation services supporting volunteers assisting clients and ensuring compliance with IRS guidelines.

- Coordinate day-to-day VITA program operations.
- Provide leadership and support to VITA volunteers.
- Assist with volunteer recruitment training certification and ongoing development.
- Guide clients and volunteers through the tax preparation process.
- Translate tax information and VITA procedures for Spanish-speaking clients and volunteers.
- Complete annual IRS Site Coordinator training and Advanced Tax Certification.
- Support e-file processing and review completed returns for quality and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to all IRS regulations site requirements and confidentiality standards.
- Conduct community outreach and collaborate with community partners.
- Maintain accurate records and administrative documentation.
- Communicate effectively with clients volunteers staff and community stakeholders.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Fluent in both Spanish and English.
- Customer service experience.
- Valid California drivers license reliable transportation and proof of insurance.
- Ability to travel between service locations and transport program materials as needed.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional evenings and weekends.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office email internet applications and virtual platforms.
- Experience working with volunteers community programs or tax preparation services.
- Experience providing services to diverse populations.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to build positive relationships with clients volunteers and community partners.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Mileage reimbursement is provided for approved business travel.
