Location:Pine Knot Job Corps-103 Job Corp Rd Pine Knot KY
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 11:00 am to 7:30 PM Saturday and Sunday OFF.
The Cook prepares and serves nutritious meals for students and staff at the Job Corps center ensuring compliance with food safety standards and supporting the overall wellness of the student community. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare cook and serve meals according to established menus and dietary guidelines
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen dining and storage areas
Follow portion control and food safety procedures in compliance with health regulations
Assist with menu planning and inventory rotation
Provide a positive dining experience that supports student health and morale
Requirements
Valid Food Handlers Permit (required)
Prior experience in institutional cafeteria or commercial food service
Knowledge of safe food handling practices and sanitation standards
Ability to work fl exible shifts including evenings and weekends

Required Skills:
Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelors degree in Social Work Psychology Education or related field preferred Experience working with at-risk youth or young adults strongly preferred Strong communication facilitation and interpersonal skill Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment Commitment to the mission-driven environment of Job Corpshelping young people build skills confidence and career pathways
