Job Purpose:
- The Cook at OVATION COMMUNITIES is responsible for preparing high-quality meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents. This role is crucial in ensuring that our community members enjoy nutritious delicious and visually appealing dishes in a welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menus ensuring consistency and quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and menu items that cater to the diverse tastes of our residents.
- Monitor food inventory and place orders as needed to ensure adequate supplies for meal preparation.
- Assist in the training and supervision of kitchen staff to promote efficiency and teamwork.
- Adapt meal preparations to accommodate special dietary needs and restrictions of residents.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of food to prevent contamination and spoilage.
- Participate in regular meetings with the culinary team to discuss menu planning resident feedback and kitchen operations.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and provide excellent customer service to residents and staff.

Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Culinary certification or degree is preferred but not mandatory.

Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a cook in a professional kitchen environment.
- Proven experience in preparing a wide variety of food items including appetizers main courses and desserts.
- Experience in maintaining kitchen equipment and managing inventory.
